And So It Begins

So I drive into the parking lot this morning and what do I see at the back of the lot? A digger (I am sure there is another name for them but I can't think of it at this moment) digging up the trees and such in the empty lot. I knew the day was coming when Dharma Developements would be breaking ground for the Condos they are building in the back but I was kinda hoping it wouldn't happen for awhile. Fear not though I have just signed a lease for another year, we just might have to use the public parking lot across the street more. As you can see by the pictures I took from the back door of the store the lot is a bit smaller. The good thing is that there might be something or should I say someone to look at this summer when it is quiet and hot out :0) Maybe I should stock the fridge with cold beverages to offer the hard workers LOL.

As Promised

Here are the pictures of the two projects I did at the convention and pictures of some of Tracy's new patterns and stencils. As you can see I still have to finish the Bears, I just have to put in the wine glass.

Why

So I just came back from the gym and just needed to share this. Why is it that all the young buff guys wear loose gym clothing but the 50+ guy feels that he needs to wear a tight t-shirt and shorts that are tight, spandex and short. Then to make matters worse he has to stretch before getting on the treadmill, this means that he is in my sight line bending over, it's like a car crash you don't want to look but you can't resist.

So there you have it my gym experience. This past weekend I went to the Canadian Painting convention Coast 2 Coast in Mississauga. Had a great time, painted with Sharon MacNamara Black and Holly Hanley. What a sweetheart Holly is, I will post what I painted tomorrow. Lydia was also there with a booth, she was crazy busy. I also picked up some great packets from Tracy Moreau and her new stencils.

Have a great evening
Cindy

SALE SALE SALE

Forgot to post this in the last one. Starting Saturday April 11th till Saturday April 18th everything in the store will be on sale. The discount will be from 15% to 50% off your purchase you get to pick (doesn't apply to workshops or workshop surfaces). It's the small retailers scratch and win.

So I am just sitting here at my dining room table typing this out and of course my trusty companion Abby is here with me. She is looking out the window and starts barking like crazy, I think she's making a bit too much fuss for just the neighbourhood squirrels so I look out and there are Turkey's on the front lawn. For those of you who don't know we live in the country so you don't have to worry about wild turkeys overtaking the city. So how guilty will I feel tomorrow when I stuff Tom the Turkey (as my dear old Dad used to call it). I tried to get a picture but was too slow, well that's it for the excitement here in Constance Bay.

Happy Easter

Well today is certainly looking more promising than the last few days around here. At least it's not raining or snowing. We've had some great workshops at the store using all kinds of different techniques. Last week Wendy taught her Grungeframe, I sat in on the workshop and my frame defintely didn't turn out like Wendy's but that is the beauty of it. You can change things up so even if you aren't crazy about colours etc. it is the techniques that you are going to learn. As you can see we have some great Tattered Angels products in the store, the Book Kits are a great value.
Have a Great Day
