A While

So as anonymous has said it seems like I just post on the blog once a month because here almost two months has gone by. So what is new, we now have all the new Cuttlebug folders in the store, next week one of the new Graphic 45 collections will be in

Halloween in Wonderland, this collection is not just about Halloween. This week is the summer edition of the Craft and Hobby Association Show where the industry releases their new products, generally they ship started in September. There are some great lines from BoBunny, Graphic 45, and of course Tim Holtz. I especially like his Sizzix Dies and Folders, can't wait to get those in the store. As the new products come in I will update the Blog (I promise).

Well after I close the store today I am off to Atlantic City with Paulette (aka Anonymous) it is her 50th Birthday next week so we are having a girls trip, can't wait. Sharon will be watching the store on Tuesday and Odette will be here on Wednesday, so be sure to pop in and say hi and of course shop. I will be home for a week and a half then on the 8th of August Sharon, Edie and I are off to HOOT, this is a Decorative Painting Convention in Columbus Ohio. You know I will be shopping there and seeing what is new in Painting. Of course I will be coming back with new ornament packets. I will take my computer so that I can update the Blog with the projects I will be doing.

I have Holly Hanley's new book ordered and it should be in next week, if you would like a copy please call or email me.

Well I think that's it for now, I hope your having a great summer so far.

HAPPY CANADA DAY

Okay so when I looked at the last blog post I couldn't believe a month had pasted already. Here is a picture of Lydia and I the day that she did her book signing, of course you will notice that I have it open to the picture of Shilo my Equine Grandson. The Linda Lock Seminar is filling up fast so if you are thinking about registering I wouldn't wait too long. And of course the pictures on the website don't do justice to the pieces so pop into the store and see them.

I am expecting the rest of the new Cuttlebug Folders next week and have received the rest of Tim Holtz Sizzix Embossing Folders, also back in stock is his Tattered Florals and Bird Cage Dies. On Sunday July 11th I am teaching the tag canvas which will incorporate alot of his techniques. As it is a small class we will have lots of time to play with all the inks and powders.

Janice will be teaching a Card Workshop on July 16th, if you go to Mini Workshops on the website you can see the cards and register. I am working on some Christmas Ornaments for July (yes I said Christmas Ornaments), I missed Junes but we will continue on to get a jump start on Christmas. I am planning on having this workshop on Thursday July 15th.

I hope everyone has a great Canada Day. Be sure to check out the website www.thepaintedpony.com we still have space available in some of the workshops.

Linda Lock Seminar

In case your not on my email list or you haven't checked the website, Linda Lock is coming to The Painted Pony November 5th, 6th and 7th. The workshops are filling up fast and we still have 5 months before she comes.

If your a scrapbooker, stamper or love Tim Holtz then you will definitely love the Altered Clock is will be doing on the Sunday. For those of you who are Decorative Painters then you will love Friday's Rembrandt's Books and Saturday's Poppies. That's not to say that you can't sign up for the Altered Clock. It is sure to be a great weekend creating works of art.

If you would like to register for the workshop go to http://www.thepaintedpony.com/ and look under Workshops. The workshop fee is $135 per day which includes refreshments, a light lunch, a packet and all paints and mediums used in class. A $75.00 deposit is required with the balance due on September 1st. Because of the HST and the fact that the website isn't set up for it yet you will notice that I have added the 8% to the $75 and the website will add the other 5%. All the workshop pieces are in the store now.

Pause for Painting 4

Good Saturday Morning,

We still have room in the Book Launch workshop Saturday June 5th with Lydia. She will be teaching 'Gingerbread Itsy' one of the projects from her new book. The workshop registration is on the house you just have to pay for the surface which I will prep for you. The workshop is from 9:30-12:30 after that there will be a light refreshment and then Lydia will sign books. If you go to http://www.thepaintedpony.com/ and look under Mini Workshops you will be able to sign up or you can call the store. If you would like a book but can't make it out that day just give me a call or email me info@thepaintedpony.com.

Have a great weekend

Sneak Peak

Well she has done it again our Lydia. Her fourth book is in production as we speak and hopefully will be ready by the end of May beginning of June. Luckily I have connections with the author LOL and she has sent a picture of the front cover.

If you would like to reserve a copy please call 613-836-1361 or email me info@thepaintedpony.com , it helps with the ordering. I know for a fact that there is a pattern of a Horse in this one, it just happens to be my daughters Mustang Shilo.

Thank You

Good Morning,

Well it's been four year since I purchased the store from Sally, can you believe it??? It's amazing how the years go by so fast, what a great four years it has been. I have meant so many amazing people, teachers, customers, suppliers, artists many of which I now call friends. I look forward to 4 more years and many more friendships developing. I just want to take this opportunity to say THANK YOU to all of you who have supported me by taking workshops, shopping in the store and just being there.

BIG HUGS
Cindy
